Spanish-slate.com at John Cameron (Plumbers & Builders Merchants) Ltd has chosen Pizarras Paramo SL to be our principal supplier of Spanish slate. The main product stocked is a "Prime 7-9" slate, which is a first quality slate. These slates can be supplied either plain, or with two nail holes.

We can also source products from other quarries with brand names like

The quarry producing this slate has been in operation since the end of the Nineteenth century. Now it is the location for the groups's new offices and showroom together with a modern, recently built factory producing the slates. It is situated in the northwest of Leon Province, about 35Km North of Ponferrada, in Northern Spain.

In the last ten years the company has expanded operations and begun large- scale industrial extraction and manufacture to meet the demand from clients mainly England and Ireland but also France & Belgium and now in a heavy format for Scotland through Spanish-slate.com, at John Cameron (Plumbers & Builders Merchants) Ltd.

At the same time modern manufacture and quality control procedures have been put in place to make PIZARRAS PARAMO S.L one of the most important producers of large format slate in Spain. Paramo is registered to I.S.O. 9001 / 2000 by BM Trada, & meets the French P32.301 / 302, Cert No AG MI 92/2003, and the Belgian AG H727 BS 680 P2 & EN12326 - 1 & 2. Furthermore, Paramo also offer a 30 year guarantee on their slates (subject to certain installation / fitting conditions)
